Smirnoff Night Vision Presents: Time Machine

Smirnoff Night Vision Presents: Time Machine

When: Saturday 23rd May 2009 - 20:00 - 04:00

Where: The Globe, Albany Road, Cardiff

Roll up! Roll up! Secret Carnival; masters of mystery, illusion, and suspense, have been awarded a £2,000 bursary towards their new night Time Machine, through the Smirnoff Night Vision initiative. Radio 1’s Rob da Bank, Cream honcho James Barton, club promotions agency Don’t Panic and Mark Ronson’s agent Cris Hearn handpicked the literally timeless event as one of the UK’s most original nights.

You will be astounded, astonished and amazed as Great Britain’s premier party impresarios and quality purveyors of quintessential dance celebrations, proudly present an extraordinary entertainment extravaganza of unimaginable immensity and incredible intensity. Touching down at The Globe in Cardiff, the event will transport you through a cornucopia of delights, a profusion of pleasures and a wealth of wonders from the past, present and future! Prepare for a bizarre burlesque of breath-taking thrills, death defying spills, hair raising feats and mind boggling treats never witnessed before.

Let the Ska and Afro-Punk horns and percussion beats sound as Welsh humour and eccentric costumes of nine-piece Snowdownian phenomenon; Derwyddon Dr GonzoShaking, and the Acid-Punk, freak show of fun; The Dubious, hurtle you through time, space and sanity in this endlessly electrifying excursion to the fourth dimension. Expect a few extra surprise performances and activities along the way too…

The Secret Carnival ask you to bring one item to put into their time capsule - photo, letter, anything. Just don’t forget - this is not a spectator event, so dress from the past, future, present, or mix it up and dress as a Time Bandit.

Time Machine is supported by the Smirnoff Night Vision initiative, which aims to discover, support and celebrate the most forward-thinking promoters in the country
